Star Bottle announces two new destinations for space launch on 10 August: Titan and Vega

Milan, 15 April 2025 - The sky is enriched with new destinations for the dreams and messages of human beings: Titan e Vega, two fascinating places in the Universe, become the new official destinations of the forthcoming launch of Star Bottle, scheduled for 10 August 2025, in the magical setting of the The Stars Night.

Following the success of the first launch in 2024 and in view of the highly anticipated anniversary, Star Bottle is expanding the possibilities for participants by offering two new cosmic coordinates to which they can send their thoughts, images and wishes. Titan and Vega join the already announced destination: the Milky Way, the luminous heart of our galaxy, symbol of infinity and the connection between all star systems.

Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, is a fascinating and mysterious world. Larger than the planet Mercury, it is shrouded in a dense atmosphere - one and a half times that of Earth - composed mainly of nitrogen, just like the primordial Earth. But it is methane that is the key element of this satellite: a true “methane cycle” exists here, with rivers, lakes and rainfall of liquid methane. It is also assumed that there is an underground ocean of liquid water, making Titan one of the most promising places in the Solar System for the possible existence of life forms.

Vega, the second brightest star in the northern hemisphere, is a beacon in the summer sky and part of the famous “Summer Triangle” along with Deneb and Altair. It is just 26 light years from Earth: a proximity that makes it possible to imagine that the message could reach its destination while the writer is still alive. Loaded with astronomical and mythological fascination, Vega is the star of the Tanabata, the oriental festival of wishes, celebrating love and finding each other despite distances.

As with previous launches, this year's messages will be transmitted via the M3SAT/Telespazio, with the authorisation of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT), and accompanied by a Launch certificate. The sending process remains simple and accessible to all: simply choose the content to be transmitted - text, image, video - select the destination and wait for the countdown.

Domenico Zambarelli, project manager Star Bottle, he states: “The announcement of these two new destinations represents a fundamental step in our mission to democratise access to space communication. Titan and Vega are not just celestial coordinates, but symbols of the desire to explore and connect with other worlds. With Star Bottle, we want to continue to inspire all of us to spread, message after message, our love for Space”.

Join us for a unique experience on the night when the sky is filled with shooting stars. It leaves an indelible imprint on the Universe.
